A note from Max:
I found my desire to pursue the green industry after growing up on a family farm and enjoying the many hours being outside. Our family always had a fairly large garden and lots and lots of flower beds and landscaping to take care of. At a very young age (elementary school) we started a self serve pumpkin shed selling pumpkins, squash, and other fall decorations. We also spent many hours preparing for the local farmers markets and spent countless hours sitting up town selling sweetcorn. It feels like I was always connected to the industry throughout my life in some way.
I graduated from Hancock High School in 2016 and planned on going to Technical Institute to pursue an agricultural carrier. I changed course after people told me that I should seriously consider going into the green industry and I could see the demand in the community and wanted further education and enrolled at Southeast Technical Institute. I graduated with a Landscape Design and Horticulture Associates degree in May of 2018.
While in school I took a few jobs in the area to get some more experience. In between work, school, and family time I planned and researched a plan for starting up my own landscape company. I started the LLC in February of 2018.
Our business is 100% Family oriented. We started it from our home in 2018 (See photo on right) and in 2021 we had the opportunity to purchase a facility in Morris, MN. Our two children Tate (3 ½) and Ira (1) are a necessity at our garden center! There is a good chance you will find them “working” there when you stop! We have a passion for plants and the beauty of them and we are excited to share that knowledge with our kids, so that they too can enjoy watching even a small seed turn into something beautiful!
Jed began working for us in the summer of 2019 and began full time in 2021. He has attained certification in various irrigation services and specializes in installations and maintenance. You can also find him managing the landscape crews.
Paula joined our team in the spring of 2022 and helps to manage our garden center. She is our go to when it comes to anything plants. She has many years of experience in the plant industry varying from growing and selling pumpkins, selling produce and flowers at farmers market, and gardening/designing a beautiful landscape at her home.

The Boss... Head Honcho... Chief Officer...
At the age of 3 he has entitled himself as the one in charge of the business. He will impress you with his knowledge and imagination but we think he has a few more years of training before he is qualified enough to truly be in charge. Look for him at the garden center!
